Terms & Conditions

1. Client-Supplied Jewelry and Materials

The client agrees to provide:

  • An existing sentimental jewelry piece to be used as source material for the custom pendant

  • Human cremation ash to be incorporated into the DNA pendant design

The supplied jewelry and materials will be assessed upon receipt for:

  • Gold purity

  • Weight

  • Structural condition

  • Diamond or stone usability

  • Suitability of cremation ash for incorporation

Due to the melting, refining, dismantling, casting, and resetting processes involved in custom jewelry manufacturing, Tenderfoot Jewels cannot guarantee:

  • Exact preservation of original weight

  • Exact color match of the original gold

  • Reusability of all stones or components

  • Recovery of all material after refining

Any excess or deficiency in usable gold after assessment may result in:

  • Additional charges, or

  • Excess gold credit/store credit, depending on final computation.

2. Cremation Ash Handling

The client confirms that the DNA material provided consists of human cremation ash belonging to their departed loved one.

  • Tenderfoot Jewels shall handle the cremation ash with utmost care and respect throughout the production process.

  • Only the amount necessary for production will be used.

  • Any unused or excess cremation ash remaining after completion of the pendant shall be returned to the client together with the finished jewelry.

  • The client acknowledges that small unavoidable material loss may occur during handling and incorporation due to the delicate nature of cremation ash.

3. Design and Customization

The pendant design shall be based on the Agueda Pendant design with agreed modifications to accommodate the client’s sentimental jewelry and diamonds.

  • Slight adjustments in dimensions, proportions, stone placement, and overall structure may be necessary for craftsmanship, durability, and aesthetic balance.

4. Diamond and Stone Resetting

If diamonds or stones from the client’s jewelry are incorporated:

  • Tenderfoot Jewels will exercise utmost care during removal and resetting.

  • However, due to the delicate nature of stones and older jewelry, the company shall not be liable for:

    • Hidden fractures

    • Chipping

    • Damage caused by pre-existing weaknesses during removal or setting

5. Production Timeline

Production shall begin only after:

  • Receipt of the client’s jewelry/materials

  • Confirmation of design

  • Payment of required down payment/installment

Estimated production timeline will be communicated separately and may vary depending on customization complexity.

6. Installment Payments

The client agrees to follow the approved installment payment arrangement.

  • Production may be paused for overdue payments.

  • Full payment must be completed before release/shipping of the finished jewelry.

7. Non-Refundable Custom Work

As this is a fully customized and personalized jewelry piece using client-provided sentimental materials and cremation ash:

  • All payments made are non-refundable once production has started.

  • Custom-made jewelry is non-returnable and non-exchangeable.

8. Acknowledgment

By proceeding with the order and submitting the jewelry materials and cremation ash, the client confirms that:

  • They understand and accept the risks involved in melting, modifying, and resetting sentimental jewelry.

  • They authorize Tenderfoot Jewels to use the provided materials for production of the custom pendant.

  • They agree to all terms and conditions stated above.
