Level 2: 4 Day DNA Keepsake Hands-On Craft Immersion

Goal: Apply skills to create professional keepsake pieces. More hands-on work, and extra project time.

Day 1 – Basics Review (4 hours with flexibility to extend to 5 hours)

• Welcome, safety, ethics 
• Tools & workspace setup  
• Breastmilk preservation 
• Preparing ashes, hair, umbilical cord powder 
• Practice session – students create 1^st  piece

Day 2 – Foundations & Preservation (4 hours with flexibility to extend to 5 hours)

• Troubleshooting preservation issues 
• Liquid preservative basics – direct pour cabochons & beads 
• Practice session – students create 2^nd piece

Day 3 – Design, Finishing & Business (4 hours with flexibility to extend to 5 hours)

• Sanding, polishing, sealing liquid preservative 
• Adding personalization (mica, glitter, birthstones) 
• Layering simple designs 
• Practice session – students create 3^rd piece

Day 4 – Design, Finishing & Business (4 hours with flexibility to extend to 5 hours)

• Bonus hands-on project – to complete 2–3 pieces
